It seems Funcom wanted to get the word out about the wolf mount from the upcoming Rise of the Godslayer expansion. If you are interested in seeing screenshots check out this MMORPG.com page. They also have a trailer that you can watch here and more info if you want to read here and here. I have always thought that Age of Conan was a beautiful game, and has potential to be a really great game...too bad the genre is so crowded. Anyways..check out the new mount info, if you haven't already.

EQ2 Adding Battlegrounds..Finally?
I am not really sure how I feel about this. Everquest and Everquest 2 have always been more about a PvE experience for me. You didn't really have to pwn some newb to get respect, if you played your role in the group well, you earned the respect of your fellow players. While I love PvP, I just don't really feel the need to have a lot of it in EQ2. While instanced battleground scenarios could be a fun distraction from time to time, I don't know that I will spend a lot of my time there...who knows, it may be the best thing to ever happen to the game and I will be totally wrong. On February 16th, 3 instanced scenarios will be introduced to Everquest 2. Those scenarios are Battlefield of Ganak, Smuggler's Den, and Gears of Klak'Anon. I will be anxious to see how it all fits into the game.
Champions Online State of the Game
So, I just canceled my Champions Online account today. So, I may get a chance to see some of this...depending on when my paid time actually runs out. Cryptic discussed the state of the game(a thing most game companies do around this time) here. They talked about the upcoming kitchen sink patch that just went in, upcoming events, and an upcoming adventure pack titled Vibora Bay. To be honest, nothing mentioned made me change my mind about my canceled account. I really can't get into Champions, and by into, I mean addicted. I may one day down the road hear something that makes me return to the game, but nothing mentioned in their state of the game address did that for me.

You will lose your Age of Conan Lowbies!
Funcom announced that they will be merging Age of Conan servers and that any character below level 20 and that is on an account that has more than 7 months inactive, will be deleted. If your character is being deleted, you are supposed to get an email if your character is one that will be deleted. If you don't want to risk it, you will need to subscribe again to be sure your lowbie doesn't go bye-bye.

Blizzard's Next MMO a FPS?
Ok, so we all know that Blizzard has said their next MMO would be a completely new franchise...not World of Starcraft. Some news over the weekend suggest that it is going to be some sort of hybrid between the Sims and Doom. One component of the game would be a social hub, for gamers to live their virtual life, and then the other would be a first person shooter style game to take and hold objectives. It sounds interesting, and I look forward to hearing more about this. Blizzard tends to always have really well thought out games. So, I am sure that, even though this sounds strange, it will be very gamer friendly. Then again, once more information comes out about it, it may not be as strange as it sounds.
Call of Duty MMO?
The word on the street is, Infinity Ward's next Call of Duty game will be one of the massively multiplayer variety. They are so serious that they are looking to hire former SOE and Blizzard employees. FPS MMOs can be fun...I had a blast when Planetside first came out and even Battlefield Heroes is fun for a little while. It would all depend on what sort of pricing model they go with to how interested I would be in it. The CoD games are really fun though, so it would be hard to resist at least checking it out. That reminds me, I still need to finish Modern Warfare 2. I have had so many games to play, that it has been hard for me to finish one. As a side note, Uncharted 2 is really awesome. It has some of the most amazing and cinematic moments I have ever played through in a video game.

Aion Exploit..Kinah Dupe?
I missed out on something I guess...There was a huge Kinah exploit in Aion. It is being reported that some players made out with TRILLIONS! This is what NCSoft posted about the incident
"Earlier today we began to receive reports that a small number of players on the Azphel server had received over 30 trillion Kinah as part of a reward glitch. Since that time, we’ve brought down the Azphel server and have been working diligently to identify how to restore economic stability. We’ve made the decision to rollback the Azphel server data to 6:00am CST this morning and will continue to monitor all servers for related anomalies."
How did I miss out? Ughh...I guess I would have lost it anyways.
